550 Neck cleaning???

i have an RG 550, the neck if off the body at the moment so i was wondering how to clean the neck, i have read that steel wool is good but do you go with or against the grain, it would make sence to go with but then you rubbing over all the frets, is that ok??? or does it not really matter?

It has been written al out carefully (including when en how to rub in which direction to avoid damage to the wood). I just did this neck/fretboard primer on a used guiter. Pretty scary at first als je rub with steel whool over je fretboard and stuff comes of, but the end result is brilliant.

You can find everyhting on setups as well, it right in front of peoples noses all the time can't look over Rich's swirl logo
