Seek A/B test between DiMarzios vs. RG570 stock pups

Can anyone provide a link to an mp3 or other audio with an A/B comparison, please?

Thanks, Jerry

Hmm, I opened this thread hoping to hear the result of your A/B test.

Y'know, Dimarzio makes a lot of diffferent pickups so if carry any hope whatsoever of finding the info you seek, you'll need to narrow down which Dimarzios you're thinking of.

That being said, do you own a RG570 w/stock pups? If so, is there something about their tone you don't like? Are they too bright, too dark, too thin, too bassy? By considering those points you can start to focus on Dimarzios that are most likely to give you what you're lacking tone-wise, assuming you're lacking anything.

Oh, yes, sorry for the misleading title. I forgot the question mark.

I'm happy with my stocks. And I don't anticipate changing them.

I just find it interesting that some people have more discriminating ears. Recorded a/b tests of this type seem to be rare. It would be nice if there was a modular approach to pups and guitars that would allow for better comparisons.

True, it seems like it would be a lot of work at first but then we would all have a baseline to compare.

Gibson did it with a few of their guitars, but they only work with Gibson pickups. One was a dealer only model that let you try out all their pickups at the store, then they just did a GoTM that let you switch between humbuckers and P90s with no soldering or wires to deal with at all.

that would be awesome. if members on the board could record their guitars before the change, and after the change using the exact same gear except ofcourse for the changed pickups.

there could be a seperate section of the forum just for this. surprised nobody really does it.
