Well, tonight I was at the Guitar Center for a few hours and played an S 520EX...and I thought it played extremely well and the ZR was great.
However, I'm not a big fan of the inlay so I figured if I ever purchase an S it'll be an 470DXQM...
However, the INF2 pup didn't seem to want to pick up my pinching harmonics too well, though my INF4 in my rg 350ex at home on the same amp (Vox AD50VT) will make them scream.
Now for those who own/have tried out both for awhile, is this a question of me not finding the "sweet spot" for pinches just yet on the S series? Or is the INF2 just not as hot of a pup as the INF4?
Also, after using the ZR for awhile there, it was obvious it was superior to my
Edge III trem in terms of tuning stability. I understand
locking studs will help the tuning stability of the Edge Pro, but would they really do any good with the Edge III? Or would the fact that it's simply made of a softer metal and the mechanism being not as strong be too much for the locking stud to help it a lot with tuning stability when doing crazy dives and whatnot?
