Get good RG, Prestige, Old school S series (Japan), and do not get the 555.

DBK-wise check out e-bay item number 290259203746. It's a little more expensive but that is because of the EMGs.

RG-wise you're looking a RG2550Z or RG2570Z brand new.

....or a RG1570 at £579 brand new or at around £385-£400 used on the bay. You have the budget there for a great guitar...don't waste it on a 555

EDIT: Price is £475!

Yeah you'd regret the 555! Though if you're lucky and score a cheap one the ones with the TRS trem then I'd pick it up. Don't go more than £450 though and for that expect a case, etc. to be thrown in.

Re: a good RG pr 555

Sorry RG1570 is £475 at www.gak.co.uk You just cannot beat that for value...a PRESTIGE RG! I bought mine brand new from Merchant City Music in Glasgow for £479 last year.

Dude, what are you doing asking so many questions!??!!! Get on the bay or one of these retailers and check 'em out your sen

Sorry, i guess you need to know what models to go for etc

Re: a good RG pr 555

I second the recommendations of 1570 (Suede Red!), 2550, older 5xx or 7xx series RG's, and so on. I would probably look for a mint used one on the Bay.

^^ Not bad.
