Ack, i never knew Ibanez made this!
RG1520GK
A Piezo/MIDI
equipped guitar
. I DONT like the mag Roland midi pups, and I hear Piezo style ones are much better!!!!!!
Can anyone tell me if this is coming to North America? How much is it there?
As well, I only see ONE ouput jack, does this mean it only has MIDI and regular mag pups, or can a person also get Piezo sounds from it too?
I WANT IT!!!!

I may be wrong, but I understand there's a piezo model and a Roland GK model, not one that has both systems. The 'GK' in that case means 'Galaxy Black'. The black Roland Equipped guitar is 'GKBK'

It is indeed a piezo-equipped
Double Edge Pro
with Roland GK capability. But judging by the control layout, it doesn't look like piezo output is an option. That said, the details on the site are pretty sketchy, so who knows.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the "GK" would indicate that the guitar has a Roland GK pickup...not that it's Galaxy Black
(Especially since the guitar is just plain Black (BK) )

I think Ibanez started all the confusion by releasing the RG620XGK, which had piezos, no Roland capability, and Galaxy Black finish.

That's exactly what I had in mind! and the RG420GKBK had only the Roland pickup.

thanks for the replies all.
there is NOTHING on the web about this guitar, and its features. I cant figure out why, I think it's COOL technology!
Ive always wanted to go Midi but was never impressed by Rolands Mag pups. They are cool, but sometimes there is tracking issues. Im told that Piezo solutions have MUCH better tracking and are swell.
Right now I own a 620X that I love. Id LOVE to have this along with the Midi tech. Could be a project down the road to combine both.
I WISH Ibanez sold these bridges sepereately. Id love to do up a High end RG neckthru with both PIEZO and MIDI support.
Does anyone know if there is a
custom shop
affiliated with Ibanez that could DO such a project?!?

LOL If that were the case, then you wouldn't have to ask about the Custom Shop (which has been discussed in MANY other threads.)
