Advantages of 41mm nut width?

The title says basically all that i am asking... What are the advantages of having a 41mm width at the nut of a guitar? thanks

Very little, imho.

But if you can try a guitar fitted with one out before you make any mods you might save yourself some time and money.

like eggy said, its is basically just a different neck shape and is just to do with what you find comfortable. go try it out!

Do guitars that are fitted with 41mm width at bridge, also have and thin string spacing at the bridge too? like andy timmons model, or John Petrucci model?

What common guitars have a 41mm width at nut? So i can be sure to try them out next trip to the guitar store?

dont know but i'm pretty accomodated to the 43 the ibanez guitars have...
