ANYONE ELSE DISSAPOINTED THAT THE RE-ISSUE RG550 WAS NOT OFFERED IN SNOW WHITE?

I was bummed to see that when ibanez finally re-issued the 550 it was only available in RFR and DY and black and that one has a rosewood board? WTF?
I really do not care for DY or RFR but would have bough the black one if it had a maple board like any real 550 should.
I am really not anal but feel that ibanez let some down with the new 550's
i had been waiting for years to have them to reissue the snow white one and they did not

The black 1987 550 had a rosewood board, that's why the 20th has one.

White would have been nice if they had matched the headstock colour. To me, a black headstock on a white guitar looks wrong, especially when the rest of the 550's are matched.

The headstock is the deal breaker/maker on that guitar. It would be gorgeous in all white.

I'd would have bought a white one too - black or white headstock wouldn't matter. I would not and will not however, buy the black one.

see that is what i was saying that by only offering these in those three colors many wont buy one?

No, I wasn't disappointed in the least bit. I was however disappointed that they offered it in black because Lord knows Ibanez doesn't have enough black guitars to choose from.

I actually like the black headstock.
I wouldn't be surprised to see either the 550 being put back into production or the 1550 being brought back in some way pretty soon.

Not disappointed in the least, love the yellow one I got. White would've been nice, but yellow... mmmm, yellow.

I guess they didnt because you can get the rg350 somthing or other in white. Kinda bumed out they didnt do all the colours but cant have everything can we?

I doubt the RG350 had anything at all to do with it. It's more likely that the white one was probably the least popular back in the 80's. You don't often see white ones on the used market, but you see thousands of black ones and plenty of DY. The RF is more rare but I have seen more of those than white.

I didn't buy one, but if I was buying one it wouldn't have been white or black, but RFR no question.

I remember they released a white 1550, only they put gold hardware on it which looked supremely tacky. Otherwise, nice looking guitar.
