Anyone seen Mirage Blue vs Mirage Red - RG 1570 ??

I've seen the blue. It looks way better than in any pics I've seen. I haven't seen the red in person and my local stores don't have it. Has anyone seen the two in person? Any thoughts? I know it's a preference thing, but any input would be appreciated.

id love to get my hands on an rg1570 they go for a pretty damn good price too

I've seen a blue one up close. The pics on the Ibanez site doesn't do it any justice.

ive seen both of them in my local shop. i swear this place has all the sweet guitars. .anyway ive held both of the rg 1570's . the are really sweet. they tend to go from the colors they are ( red or blue) and get darker as you see them in different light, all the way until they look black in a darker light.they sound really good, played the mirage red one. good pickups. still suggested swap. nice trem. it would be cool to pick up one . sweet colors man, very sparkly. peace

I agree. I was just wondering if the same is true of the red, which I have not seen in person.

Yes, the blue is awesome, really changes depending on light/intensity of light.

I have had and sold a bunch of both. I have kept one of each for myself, too . I like them WAY more than I thought I would from looking at the official pics. Once I got them it was amazing how much more 3d the finishes are.

The red is near impossible to take pics of. The main color base I guess would be a very dark almost blood red with a hint of dark gold. It goes from red to gold to brown almost and can even be blackish. It's almost never the same twice.

The blue is just so deep, it's jewel-like. It has less of the color changing than the red but it still shifts quite a bit.

I like the red more I would say because it's a bit more unique.

You can see some on my site: www.ericsguitars.com. They are near impossible to photograph though, they usually come out darker or copperish but there are some accurate pics in there.
