Atomic Orange Ibanez RG550 (pics inside)

I've kind of been away for a while now. Work has had me going over seas WAY too much lately. Now that I'm finally on a vacation I decided to buy a crap 550 off EE**** and make it my own.

First thing I did was decide to spray it in Atomic Orange (the color you see on a lot of Corvettes).

I've got new Dimarzio EVO II, HS-2 and Air Norton’s coming that will be masked and painted the same orange along with the knobs and tip. A new cosmos Edge bridge with new nut and all that was ordered last night from the bay. I also grabbed up a set of white base Neon Orange knobs and tip to see how they look from the bay too. A new headstock decal is still being hunted down. Sticky Design’s on the bay used to make TOP NOTCH ones that I have used before but they’re not longer a registered user unfortunately.
( IF anyone knows where to get good quality head stock decals I would REALLY appreciate it!)

But I’ve never seen a guitar in this color and I think it looks pretty good. What do you guys think?

I have heard http://www.best-decals.com/ sells quality replacement decals. That is where I plan to purchase mine from sometime today.

Really good job man. It looks amazing. When you get the new pups etc fitted that's gonna be a hell of a guitar.

Yeah...but what can you do? LOL.

This is kind of a test. I've always wanted and orange and black Jem with this color on the body and an orange vine inlay on a maple fretboard. This is the pre-orange jem test guitar. Since no one makes orange pups I'm going to do all the testing painting and all that on this. Maybe some day i'll create the "Orange Monster".

I love this finish, I wouldn't even bother to paint the pickups, that would just detract from a guitar that oozes class from every fret!!! black ones will look great.

LOL. Yeah. I think you're right. That would be over welming orange.
