Australian 2009 Ibanez Lineup... is this happening anywhere else?

My sincere apologies if this is old news but I thought it wouldn't hurt just in case.

As 2009 came round, Jemsite started up with pictures and talk of the new lineup of guitars. Most of these mentioned were the new RGs with their new, non-black colours. But here in Australia, it seems that's not all that has appeared.

- The Xiphos is back, with THREE different versions, two in chameleon finishes and a third in a solid turquoise, each has different pickups/configurations/both.

- A guitar called the Destroyer has appeared on the scene. It's similar to the Gibson X-Plorer shape, with very few changes.

- A new guitar called the DN is also out, and again, it's an unusual shape.

- But here is the most interesting. I remember when I fist joined Jemsite, there were lots of people mentioning how they'd like the return of the Iceman. Well, on the Australian website it appears that the Iceman is now back in production just like any other guitar.

Sorry again if this is old news but I hadn't seen it.

Any other countries out there getting the same stuff appearing on their websites?

RG-wise it's the same in the UK

2 maple neck models: Vital Blue and Galaxy White. It's nice to have maple available again but the US got better choice.

RG1570 still in MRB but with a "dazzling" new colour....black

My favourites are below, but nothing tempting at the moment except for the higher priced Limited Editions and Signature Models (PGMs ). It's all about the PGMs this year, IMO.

The Destroyer was an older model that was discontinued.
Matt Bellamy of Muse had one.
And I saw the DN in Australian Guitar mag. Looks interesting.

Well it would appear that the Destroyer is back in the loop, as it's up on the product list with the rest of them.

No RG1527 White Maple in the UK. Shame, I had my eye on that one.

Not to be rude, but who cares, the Ibanez prices in Australia is stupid and anyone prepared to pay an extra grand on any model available is nuts.

The good thing about AU is you get any import under $1000AU duty free

What sucks is there's no cheap shipping, and postal fedex is up to $350

I didn't start this thread to argue about prices, I'm started it to find out if any other countries are seeing the return on the Iceman, Destroyer, etc.

Everyone else is getting the destroyer but the Iceman has been back for at least a year.

Pretty similar over here. It looks to me like there are four markets: Japan (incl Hong Kong?); USA; Europe, SA and Aus, and the rest, where bottom-end stuff gets offloaded at obscene prices.

Can anyone confirm? Rich?

The DN is pretty interesting looking. Otherwise there's plenty of colour in there once you step up to the various Prestige lines. I really don't have any complaints about variety.

i have complaints about variety, the prestige range is dissappearing, here we have about 5 prestiges which are the least impressive ones on the market.

Shipping usually costs me about 80 - 120 through USPS Priority. sometimes the cases are just small enough to fit through shipping.

I would kill for one of them if they had the usual headstock, didn't have the pup covers and had a trem. One of the best designs ive seen
