I own one!

I also tried the two Yamaha drop6 models, and have since tried the OLP MM5. The Ibanez is, as you'd expect for the extra money, the nicest of the bunch.

Not really. The lower frets are, of course, more widely spaced, and the strings are heavier. The string tension is pretty much the same though, and the neck doesn't feel much longer because the bridge is so far back on the body. I've always preferred longer scale guitars anyway (I find Gibsons rather cramped).

The OLP is very nice if you're on a budget, but at a 30" scale it's quite a stretch on the lower frets.

It sounds pretty good for anything, to be honest. What I'm most getting into, though, is fingerpicking on clean but effected sounds. Bit of delay, maybe some subtle envelope filter. Things that really respond to your playing.

It does, of course, sound wonderfully filthy with heavy distortion and low power chords.

Yes!

It's the guitar I most often grab if I just fancy a quick play (I have an RG570 and a Talman too). It's definitely worth finding one to try out. And it doesn't look too much like a signature guitar.
