Hell yeah, I'd buy that RG2610 in a second. To bad it's Japan only.

Only suckers buy new guitars

For the price of that pink one, i'll probably buy two (or three!) nearly mint J-Customs.

I'll keep an eye out for the pink one in a couple of years

If I was going to buy I'd probably go for a 20th 550DY - preferably a hardtail if it were available which it's probably not. Still, a cool guitar. Gotta love that DY.

Yep.

I wouldn't want to buy any of them, to be honest. I hate to sound so negative but I can pick faults with the whole range far too easily. The one that comes closest to what I'd want is probably the MTM-2, but I wouldn't buy a black guitar. I wonder if it'll be available in red? Still, fixed bridge = no thanks. It's back to used Ibanez guitars on e-Bay for me.

Oh man. That guitar looks pretty decent, but quite limited because of the single pickup. If they'd stuck a single coil in the neck position I would want it. As it is, it's nowhere near versatile enough. The binding is CLASS though.

Re: Based on what you've seen so far...

I haven't given serious consideration to buying a new Ibanez for a long time now, but I would seriously consider:

RG2610
RG2228
JEM777VBK
APEX1

But I'm just waiting to hear back from my rep about when I can get my RG20th in roadflare red.

I'm so glad I work at a music store now. Yay for staff discounts!

Re: Based on what you've seen so far...

Probably none because I'm happy with my S540. If I had to choose one, it'd probably be the mtm2 or the s7320 depending on which plays better.

Re: Based on what you've seen so far...

I'll probably buy another Ibanez in 07', but judging by what I've seen so far, it's not going to be an 07'. Or 06', 05', 04', or 03' for that matter. --Jason
