Blanket Party

Yeah, it's one of those threads again. I figure there's enough Ibby content in there to give me reason to post it here as much as anywhere else.

That one again.......I posted similar threads on a few other boards, and every time that's the one that grabs people's attention.

I got this one right here on Jemsite from Screamngdemon69. It's an early 90's Mirage Custom. At some point in time, one of the prvious owners did a collage deal on it. Before I got it I was gonna remove it all and maybe have it refinished, but I actually kinda like the way it looks in person.

Re: Blanket Party

Yeah, that seems to be the consensus......leave it I will.

I gotta take it to the tech today, I have a couple of bridge issues. I'm almost tempted to just get a whole new Floyd, but while I suspect it would be compatible, I'm not quite sure.

Is the pink one (the one in between of the 540 and the axis) a charvel? Toothpaste logo?

Yes, that's a Charvel Spectrum. This one's even rarer than a typical Spectrum, as it has a maple board. The special thing about the Spectrums is the onboard wah filter. The second knob isn't a tone control. With the wah filter engaged, it controls where exactly in the sweep you are. The filter itself is set via a control located in the electronics cavity.

Playing without the filter engaged, the stock singlecoils don't really do too much for me, but with the wah switched on, the guitar really sings. I had one before that someone put a dual rail single in the bridge........sounded alot beefier than the stock Jackson single. I'm considering doing that with this one. Here's a solo pic of it.
