Bullet holes in a guitar?

Anyone ever seen this? I'm "considering" it with my tele with my 25ca. I suspect there could be a cool factor to it. But it could go tragically the other way if it splits the body.

Anyone ever seen this done?

Re: Bullet holes in a guitar?

Would you be doing holes in the guitar that looks like it was done by a bullet, or are you actually considering shooting a gun at your guitar? If so what kind of gun were you planning on using?

All the stuff people do to customize their guitars. I've never heard of anyone doing this. It's no crazier than a 'monkey grip'. Which also make no sense whatsoever.

First test it out on one a junky one. If it stills sounds decent try it on the one you want.

I don't think the monkey grip is as crazy as shooting a guitar. A monkey grip serves a functional purpose, whereas a bullethole is just for looks.

That's got to be the first time I've ever heard that. What functional purpose would that be?

A handle serves a funtion as a handle. You know something to grab onto. A bullet hole on the on other hand has nothing to do with anything, but looks. Unless you shoot a money grip into it

Re: Bullet holes in a guitar?

So you're planning on actually shooting it as opposed to drilling holes and dressing it so it looks like it's been shot?

You're actually kidding, right?

It has two purposes, one is to let people know it's the Steve Vai guitar, and the other is to let people know it's not a RG, its a FANCY RG.
