Buying Help

I found this guitar on a site but they give me jack squat on info, so I was wondering if someone could help me identify it and let me know if it's a good deal or not. All I have is one pic to go one.

Here is the link to the website.
What do you all think?

Re: Buying Help

Looks like an RG320 or something. It has a TRS trem Those are awful. I would avoid it, save your money and get something better. Even an RG350 is better than this and has a better trem (Edge III).

Re: Buying Help

I'm guessing it's not made in japan, despite what they say on the site.
Would that be a correct assumption?

Re: Buying Help

Too hard to say. There's no info at all about it.

Re: Buying Help

Looks like a RG470 to me, jap made but with the Lo TRS trem that everyone hates.

Call them again and get the serial # on the back of the headstock. If it starts with "F" it's made in japan. The 2 digits after the "F" indicate the year it was made. After you know that, go here:

http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/

Look in the catalog year of your serial number and you should be able to find out exactly what it is.

Re: Buying Help

It's not a 470, the 470 is H/S/H pickup config, but this is H/H.

Below is a 470:

Re: Buying Help

420? The 520 had H/H config. I remember calling on this guitar about 2 months ago, i just can't remember what model # I found. I am pretty sure it's a 4XX series Japanese made guitar though with a TRS type trem lol

Re: Buying Help

The 520 had an Edge trem, I think? Could be a 420 but I don't think they made them in this colour. I could be completely wrong, but man there are so many damn RG's that look almost identical...

Re: Buying Help

Ah, could it be this one? The one in the first post looks a different shade of blue, but who knows, Ibanez catalog shots are always inaccurate when it comes to colour.

Re: Buying Help

Dee, I am putting my money on that model lol, looks just like it minus the color. And you are right, there are so many different RG's it's tough to tell sometimes =)

Re: Buying Help

I'll agree, that's the closest thing I've found and I'm guessing the catalog shot was way off, as usual.
