Can anyone help identify this Ibanez?

Hi guys, first time poster..

I'm having a little trouble identifying this particular axe, can anyone help?
Serial Number: F9821826, Japanese made around '97/98 i think?
It's a cream white color with gold hardware, pearloid scratchplate and dot inlays. Says RG series on the headstock but i've no idea what the model is!

Any help greatly appreciated!

It's made in Japan in 1998. Check this catalog and see if you can find it.

Thanks for the reply, Drew.

Had a look through the catalogue but couldn't see it in there anywhere

I have pictures of the guitar in question but am unable to post it due to forum restrictions...

Sounds like an RG-350, but I'd need to see pictures.

Re: Can anyone help identify this Ibanez?

See, thats what i thought initially.. it was the fret markers/off-white color and gold hardware that was throwing me off though.. just sent you a picture.

Many thanks

350s weren't made in Japan in 98 (ever?)

Dude just post 10 messages (7 more) and then post the pic. Or upload them to photobucket and link us

It sounds like it will look like an RG1550GX but they didn't come out until 2003. Could be a Jap market only model.

Re: Can anyone help identify this Ibanez?

modded 350 or 450 is my guess. The gold is a bit of a throw-off and makes it look like a fake

I would advise you to pass

Re: Can anyone help identify this Ibanez?

Thanks for the heads up.

It actually belongs to a friend of mine, he's never been able to identify it and wanted to see if we could find some more info before it sold.
