Can anyone identify this Ibanez?

The Ibanez is listed as a Ibanez RG770 however this particular model has an AANJ? I checked the catalogs and the 770 supposedly came in only the old block bolt on model

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3713834443

Is this a RG770, a custom Ibanez or a different overseas model?

Looks like it could be a RG570LTD. I had one just like it in another color. If I read the SN right it is a 99, and I didnt think they made RG770 in 99. Could be wrong though....maybe Rich will chime in and shed the light!

it looks like my rg570rm, minus the binded neck and those sharktooth inlays.

mine has no binding, and dot inlays.

btw, did the seller really take those shots of his guitar in his bathroom?

Definitely not a 770, because as stated above there were no AANJ 770's.

I don't know if it is or not, but 770's are still being made and yes, with the AANJ.

Wouldnt the 770 have a pickguard, at least a clear one? Are the trems different between the 770 and the 570LTD? I know mine had a lo-pro...

Well, there are recent 770's, but they have dot inlays as far as I know.

A 770 would have a clear pickguard if it was a DX model. Regular 770's had direct mounted pickups.

I'll agree with everyone else, that's probably some type of RG570, DX, EX, LTD, whatever...

RG570DX (FBK or BP) or something similar but it's 570 without a doubt, although they were sold here as RG507DX as well.
Also pretty certain that the neck on this is Japanese Wizard II and they are somewhere between Wizard and Korean Wizard II in feel.
18mm thickness at nut, 20.5mm at 12th fret.

I'm sure Richard (spagbol) or Jono might have something to add to that.

I'd wager it's an RG570DX due to the pickups (putting it in the 500 series)and the sharkteeth making it a DX

I thought they had "super wizard" necks that first came out with the advent of the bubinga stripes, but I could be wrong.
