Can someone post a picture of a All Acess Joint neck?

I've never seen the difference between a regular RG neck and one with the All Acess Joint.

Warning, this image is REALLY big, but that's an AANJ.

HERE is the page from Jemsite that shows the comparison between the original and all-access neck joints.

Does anyone prefer the old neck joint? The all access is much nicer looking IMHO, but I bet there are some that prefer the old style.

It's possible that there are some (perceived) tonal benefits from the "old" neck joint, because there is more material there. But I know I much prefer the AANJ on my UV to the clunky joint on my Jackson Kelly STD.

I definitely prefer the old joint. I played a guitar with the AANJ for the first time a few weeks back and the lack of the block made me lose my bearing on where on the neck i was.

yeah, it'll probably just take some getting used to. I'm somewhat resistant to the AANJ since I'd really hate to get used to a guitar with it, and then have a hard time playing a guitar w/o it (e.g. my good ol' Strat).

I have both, and I do prefer the old neck joint, ASSUMING, it's the JEM/UV style joint. If it's the RG style joint, I like the AANJ as much or better, I never liked the RG joint originally.

The AANJ on the Jem555 is different to the other AANJ - it's profile is alot squarer (and cheaper to reproduce). Check out pg 7 of the 1994 Europe catalog for the difference (also on the Jemsite AANJ page)

I can't use a guitar with the old neck joint. I have small hands and can't play above about the 18th/19th fret without twisting my wrist uncomfortably.
