Can you help me determine a value??
Hello everybody. I am a brand new member and was hoping that I could get some help determining the value of my guitar. Please look at:
http://www.hoffmans.net/andy/guitar/index.html
This is an RG770DXVM. I bought it about 16 years ago and have been the only owner. As you can see there is some damage, but overall, I think it has held up quite well over the years and still continues to play very nicely. Unfortunately, the time has come for me to sell this and I was hoping to use the knowledge of the resident experts to help me come up with some kind of value if I sold on, um, well some kind of auction site. Any input would be very appreciated. Of course, I'll do my best to answer any questions you have.
Thanks in advance,
Andrew Hoffman

I would guess she'd bring between 400 and 550. It's the least desireable (generally) of the three available colors, and that's a big ding. Hard to say though, really.

Re: Can you help me determine a value??
i think youd get 300 that quite a chip. but on **** the last few ive seen which were red went for $400, which i think is to cheap for these guitars still
they should be worth more the the rg550 imo

I am looking for that exact model in that color if you are looking to sell.

Re: Can you help me determine a value??
Thanks everybody for your input...
So, hypothetically, let's say that I do end up keeping it. Where could I bring it to get it fixed? Would I have to take it one place to get the body damage fixed and another place to get it painted?
It kills me everytime I see the "boo boo".

I just bought a mint 760 for under $300, but 550s are all over the place in price.
Andrew, I sent you a PM.

I just bought a 770DX in the VM finish, unfortunately, it was repainted. But thats why I got for a steal...plays amazingly though. Has an X2N in the Bridge and an Evolution in the neck.
