Clear pickguard dilemma

Hi gang:


It's been a very long time since I posted on this forum. Anyhow, I have an RG that I would love to add a clear pickguard to (I prefer the "elevated" feel). But I can't bring myself to drill holes into it.

Is there some sort of non-permanent invisible adhesive I can use to stick the pickguard on without damaging the finish of the guitar?

You could try some clear double sticky tape, but I don't have any idea how well it would hold long term or if it would possibly yellow over time. --Jason

If you want the guard, just drill the holes.

Why don't you start with some tape, and if you feel like having it permanently, drill the holes.
