I don't know what to tell you about the pickup ring. It appears to be metal (not plastic) from the picture so that just might be the start of mild corrosion from sweat. Unfortunately, I have no experience with cleaning that up.
There's nothing wrong with your fingerboard. It's just the grain of that particular piece of food. I've seen all sorts of shades of rosewood and what you have is nothing unusual.
If you want to darken it up and protect/preserve it, get some bore oil and apply it to the fingerboard. The rosewood will soak it right up. It will darken the wood and keep it from drying out and cracking.
