Rosewood necks are one of my favorites. The tone is smooth and thick, and therefore can be balanced wonderfully with Maple or other bright wood bodies. The feel of the raw rosewood is also smooth and comfortable. I like it more than oiled Maple. I have another neck on a soft maple strat that is Rosewood with an Ebony board. That's great too, but something about this neck being solid RW (no fretboard lamination) is just cool.
