Im looking for some ppl from the general San Diego area but any links and such would be appriciated, the design that i want is kinda like the RG Giger except i designed it and it has different colors (black/yellow)

I'm sure Rick at Guitar Guru the banner above would be able to help you out!
His work looks pretty good, his prices are fair, he is a decent chap and he won't take a ridiculous amount of time for turn around like others...

Re: Custom Painting

Hmmm $400 bucks for a paintjob is a little too much - any cheaper ones?

Do you want a cheap paint job or a good paint job? Unless you can do it yourself or have a friend that can do it, you're going to get one or the other. High quality paint jobs that incorporate graphics are not cheap.

For example, I had both of my PGM301s custom painted. The quality of the work is AAA and I paid for it.

Chili Pepper Fabric finish on front, back, control cavity cover and headstock. Blackburst on all the edges and pinstriped F holes.

$600

Custom design Jester graphics on front, back (with smiley face), control cavity cover and headstock.

$875

Re: Custom Painting

Doing solid colors yourself is not that difficult if you follow directions, although it's a ton of work. There are plenty of resources available online that explain everything, if your interested.

www.reranch.com

is a great place to begin.

Re: Custom Painting

Nice paint on those guitars Toneboy...... I would agree with what others here have said, either learn to do it yourself, or be prepared to pay. Nothing is cheap in the US if you want it done with quality workmanship. The way I started was to read as much as I could about custom painting, and then practice on old worthless guitars. With some dedication and hard work, You will be surprised at what you can paint.
