Custom RG - Finally done

This has been quite a while in the making..


RG760 body. Had a nice coat of yellow house paint over the green.


A few minutes with the heat gun..

Don't like single coils and middle pickups get in my way...so, swimmingpool route!

Couldn't find any basswood here in Sydney, so in goes some swamp ash..more routing and I guess that makes it a RG720 now..

All done!

Bent logo and all...oops

Big thanks to Rich for the LoProEdge bridge and other bits and to Pat (Treadstone) from e b a y for the rest of the parts.

Pickups are EMG 81-85.. Don't like the 85 much. Might put a 60 in there.

That turned out real nice. Digging the headstock too. I wonder what it would have looked like had the print been horizontal rather than vertical? I like the idea of using a poster or print as it opens up so many possibilities of what you can put on the face of a guitar.

My first thinking was: "I'm sure I won't like it" as I just love stock Ibanez. But first, you 've made an awesome finish job! and well, you have some good taste!
Now I wish I could refinish my guitars myself.

Cool! I think we've found what you're signature piece could be if Ibanez made your own custom line. Steve Vai has the monkey grip handle and the lion's claw routing, and you have the bent logo. Nice!
