Destroyer
Anyone have a mid 80 Destory? I am looking at one on evilbay and would lke some feedback.
It is listed as an 84 H-H setup, 2 volume and 1 tone, 3 way toggle.

the original '80s
Candy Apple Red
ones were, um, utilitarian I think is the right word - I still think Gibson's original Explorer shape is much more elegant - especially in Korina/Mahogany - just my 2 bobs worth mind you!

I would love one, but even the used ones are more than I want to spend.
I have found one in black, one in red and one in an 80's zebra strip. Two of three are in good shape, and one will need to be redone.

Re: Destroyer
I have one of the x-series from the 80's with the sweet blue/green and yellow zebra stripes. Sadly I have never put it together since I received it but I still like it a lot and once I find the
neck screws
it's going together.

Does it have the ProRock'r trem? That is one of the guitars that I am looking at.

I have a DT 350 (star shape with prorock')
I love it. I would buy another in a flash.
The neck is the best bit.

Re: Destroyer
I had one of the metallic red DT-50(?) Destroyer II's way back and it was an awesome guitar.
The one with the open-coil
bridge humbucker
and covered
neck pickup
stock and the tunomatic style brige with the quick-change tailpiece.
One of those guitars i wish i'd never sold.
