Difference between RG550 and RG550EX

Hi! Can you tell me what is the difference between these two guitars, please?
I'm asking this because I know a guy that's selling an RG550 with rosewood fretboard... At first I thought that was an EX model, but he says that's a limited edition of RG550 (and that's not an LTD, because it has dot inlays)... the guitar was made in 2001...

a limited edition rg550 would be the 20th anniversary rg550, which has dot inlays.

the rg550ltd has the sharkies.

the bridge could be a major difference... i think there was a 550 that was limited... it had gold hardware... and maple fretboard... but cant tell!!!

The 550EX came in GK or SD (GK = A variant of black, SD = a kind of 'silver sand' finish)with matching headstock and the inlays were mirrored dots. (copper coloured)

Also, the neck was the super wizard not the original, and there was never a block heel model.

Other than that the specs are the same. V8/S1/V8 pups, original edge, basswood body with AANJ.

I happen to own a 550EX. :P
