Disappearing VBT700..

The new VBT700 seems to have been removed from the X-Series page on Ibanez.com, and the link on the main page seems down. It's a shame if this model is not being released now...

Looks like just a broken link to me.
The guitar is being made, and is still available and released.

The link for the VBT700 page is wrong, and linked to that RG page.

It's thumbnail is no longer on the X series page either.

Again, probably just a web design problem.

The Ibanez page has been temperamental ever since its come online since Namm.

[EDIT: No, I don't think it's a website issue.]
Two threads on this topic have been deleted from the Ibanez forum. These two threads speculated on a lawsuit that Dean supposedly filed against Ibanez over the V-Blade. If it's true, then it's public record.

Damn that sucks if they don't end up releasing it. I was hoping we'd see in the next year a trem equipped version of the V-Blade. I'd definitely get one of those.

That's a shame if it's true. It was one of my favourite new models in this years lineup.

Hopefully Fender won't sue over the Jackson Warrior-esque XPT700...

Re: Disappearing VBT700..

It has been thoroughly removed from the international pages as well...

still it's strange, if it is indeed Dean who are barring them from releasing a V, not Gibson or Jacko. In fact Dean's V is sooo similar to a Gibson, it's even got rounded tips and a V shaped string-through plate.

Yeah, this looks like a very cool guitar. Bummer about the legal issues. Dave Mustaine just signed with Dean and his new model looks a lot likethe VBT700. I wonder if that is the problem.

Re: Disappearing VBT700..

Whoah, the Ibanez forum won't let me see the topics about it. It said that only users with "sufficient permission" could view them.

Re: Disappearing VBT700..

American Music Supply still has it on their site, with a delivery date of 4/6/07

Rich said he won't carry this indo guitar, so I don't think Jemsite will mind the link to the AMS website.

Re: Disappearing VBT700..

I just went on to the US site, and I got through to the VBT just fine. Maybe everything is cleared up? They took it out of the thumbnail for the "Guitars" section on the main page, though.
