(distorted) solo notes problem

hi there. i have a ibanez RG 3120TW (tonezone+pafpro) guitar and the following problem:
individual distorted notes sounds "instable", "oscilating". i'm not getting good sustain and smooth tone. it's kind of a muddy sound only when i'm using distortion.
right now i'm using a gsp1101 from digitech a monster cable rock and a pair of headphones.
digitech is conected via usb with my imac.
i think it's a ground problem or something because neither the guitar nor efx unit hasn't any problems.
but what's wierd is that i've made a test with a battery UPS and the problem persist.
and i'm not getting permanent hum in my headphones.

check your intonation

intonation ok.
it sounds very good on a bossgt8 on one of my friends.
the same on guitar rig in another location.

i checked the intonation twice.

hi, it could very well be the height of your pickups, try lowering them

Does it only sound muddy through your computer rig or does it sound muddy through an amp too?

got the same problem, more noticable in the high g string notes

the pickups are low..
in fact the problem is not the guitar or the gsp1101.
i had in the past a bossgt8, pod xt, tc electronic konnect24D + guitar rig and with all of them the same wierd problem.
and the guitar sounds just fine somewere else.

it doesn't let me to upload audio files.

may very well be a latency problem with the pc/digitech. Or it my actually just be the speakers in your headphones distorting (its more frequent than you'd like to believe).
