Do RX AANJ necks fit AANJ RGs?

I was looking through auction sites and noticed that some RX models have AANJ necks. I've wanted to pick up an AANJ RG body and refinish it but the necks are expensive. The RX guitars are dirt cheap though. I have a pair of non-AANJ RG necks but of course these do not fit AANJ bodies and it looks like it'd be a waste of time to try and modify them to fit AANJ bodies. Hmm I could sell of my two necks and get one AANJ neck but this means one less guitar in the end!!! hehe.

Any thoughts?

Aren't the RX guitars have 22 frets as opposed to 24? thus the heel of an AANJ would be in completely the wrong place?

I think Jono is right there, they're 22 frets.

Why don't you look at a used AANJ neck or (better) a used non-AANJ body? I think you're better off with a crappy body than a crappy neck. A body is just a chunk of wood, but the neck is what makes the guitar playable or not.

a good quality body does more than you think, the neck is extermly important, it is what determines how the guitar plays and feels but the body and wood the body is made of does a lot for sound as well.

Ah... I have three non-AANJ RGs already... plus the two necks already mentioned (just waiting to have some free time and ideas for the bodies!). Just looking for a change. And yes, the neck is very important, so I'll keep looking... thanks all.
