Ebony Fingerboard?

Does Ibanez make a guitar anymore that has an Ebony Fingerboard? Preferably a model available in the U.S.

I don't think they do. Can't think of one anyway!

Your best bet would be to get a used 7VWH with an ebony board. A lot of the J-Customs used to have ebony boards but the newer ones have mostly got rosewood these days.
I think it's getting harder (and more expensive) to find good quality ebony that's evenly black.

Note: the newer 7Vs (2004 & after, i believe) have rosewood boards.

Last year's J-Custom RG8670 has a rosewood board, but that model was discontinued for 2005 (and it's a damn shame)

The signature jazz models have ebony fretboards (George Benson, John Scofield, Pat Metheny).

cant you just get the fretboard replaced with an ebony one?

That is what I am now thinking. I love the sound I get off of an ebony fongerboard, and it seems like it is getting harder and harder to find any guitars that have them.
