edge pro-edge zero

i have search the rg models,and i find that the older models till '08 are wearing the edge pro bridge and the '09 models the edge zero.so,i find out that they have much differense in the price(2570e,'08 model about 800E-2570z,'09 model about 1100E).what do ypu think about this?

i supposed it's ibanez marketing a "new and greater" trem hence the price increase. also, the world economy is failing or so i hear, so i don't know.

The price increase has nothing at all to do with the trem change.

Didn't '08s have Edge zeros on them too?

I believe the major reason for the difference in price is the strength of the Yen verus the US dollar. Well that and I'm sure Ibanez likes money.

Isn't there the difference in pickups, neck wood, and neck construction/shape?

On some of the newer 09 models they come with real Dimarzio's stock, have maple boards, and have the Super Wizard neck.

However, I think the main reason the price shot up was b/c of the yen/dollar exchange rate.

i have compare guitars with exactly the same specs.by the way,from now on it's difficult to find the 2550e any more.they were stocked out with very low price (europe).
as i've seen many ibanez players prefare the edge pro against edge zero.
