Electronics help!

I am wanting to replace the pots and all of the wiring in my rg350dx. I have a tone zone air norton combo. What pots and caps should I buy? I was thinking of going with the 1 meg for volume. Do I need a 1 meg for the tone or will a 500k work? What about a les paul, do I need 4 or just two? Total noob here!

500K for Volume, 250K for tone. Probably 2 .22pF cap.

What about a Les Paul? If you replace everything you would need 4 pots, otherwise you wouldnt be replacing everything. I know for awhile Gibson was using 300K pots for their volujme controls, not sure if they still are. When I replace wiring, I usually go to RSKits and use their stuff.

Careful!!! there are two types of pots, linear, and I forgot the other kind . One will adjust the tone/volume gradually and evenly throughout the turn, the other kind will do most of the change in a short period of turn time. I HATE those kinds and I accidentally installed one in a tone knob.

Audio taper (logarithmic) and linear pots are available.

I recently replaced the pots in my RG-470 and I put both linear pots. Usually, a logarithmic pot is used in the volume.
Want to know something? I LOVE IT!!! I might replace all my volume pots for linear pots now.

For Air Norton/Tone Zone, try 500kOhm pots. I have that setup on my J-Custom and it is the most adequate.
