Re: Evo or Breed pups in a basswood RG?

I've got a Evolution in the bridge and a Breed in the neck positions. WOW, it sounds 100% better than stock. Very versitile now. By the way, the guitar is a RG450DX

RG560 with Breed bridge, love it. (Fast Track 1 in middle and neck.)

I had evos in my basswood Floral and didn't care for it,,,,now evo's in my VWH and VSBL both sounded great. At least for me.

I did the same thing so i switched the bridge evo out. I have a breed in another basswood and it sounds great.

breeds are great, I have them in my project guitar.
I have a guitar with evos in and as good as they are they are just not very versatile.
others have mentioned the paf pro, they are also very good but the breeds are my favourite now.

Re: Evo or Breed pups in a basswood RG?

I put an evo set in a 550 recently, and so far, i like them... I had a TZ/Paf Pro combo in there, and i have to say, i like these more... Granted, theyre way more aggresive (the others were more vintage sounding somehow), but theyre also very, VERY responsive to the volume pot...

The cleans were another nice surprise, i thought the cleans would suck, but neck split, both inner coils, both full, and neck only sound AWESOME... only one im not too fond of is the bridge clean, but i never like any pup like that anyway...

and btw, the Jem 10th, 90th and BSB all had Evos stock...
