Evo's in my RG4EX1

getting a set of F-spaced evo's should i use an alt to the mid sc? something with hum canceling? any recommendations or warnings are appreciated. The guitar is factory stock.

What's "alt to mid sc"? I'll assume that you mean alternative to the mid sc (got that part), there are several options. I have a TZ/Protrack/PafPro currently, but will switch soon to Breed/Protrack/Breed. I like having the mid sc as a humcancelling pup so that my guitar is humcancelling on all positions. Popular middle pickups are the Evo single, Blue/Red Velvet, and HS2. Protrack, Chopper, Fast Track 1 are common as well. It is all personal taste. Since you appear to be in the US, if you have the patience to try different pups, take advantage of Dimarzio's return policy.

What's the stock sc on the RG4EX1 anyway?

The middle pickup is an Inf3 p.o.s., so I would definitely suggest replacing it. The real question is "are you even going to use the single coil?" if not then why bother spending money on a new pickup that you're not even going to use, spend your money on an Edge Pro to replace that Edge III...
