Family pics diffrent RG's/Ibanezes

Ok for some reason I havent really been here lately....... But Have addded 4 more special ibbys to the nest and want to share them.

1992 RG770 Emerald Green lo-pro. Bought as a kid in '94 used/mint. Sold in '97 to buy first car to a friend, he broke the high E within weeks and it sat in its hardshell till last summer bought back for $300.00 Same condition.

Next 1991 RG570 FM Cherry Sunburst Bought on craigslist a few weeks ago for $250.00, in need of a good clean and a small chip on the back but shes nice! Dirty in the pics.... shown above and below.

Next are another CL purchase for $250.00 a 1998 RG520 QS Blue, more blue green as you can see. Not my pics they were sent by the owner to me. This is my most played right now (770 Is a wall queen, 550 needs a setup and I get really frustruated doing them on edges)

Last is from what I gather a super rare Bass at least in the US,again CL. Owner bought in Misawa Japan in 1993 never learned played it. Its a purp FM top 1993 SR890 GFS VS

I dig the FM. Very nice. I'd take that Fender HW1 Jazz over all of them, though! Can you post a full pic of it?

Damn, your house is like a guitar shop! Fair play man.

OK, changed my mind. The black Jazz is lovely, I'll take that one instead! Badaas II bridge fitted also. Good choice. That's a Geddy Lee model, right?

Re: Family pics diffrent RG's/Ibanezes

Nice guitars folks! Here's mine

here's tip on setting up Edge bridges that might help some. I cut several small blocks of wood between 8mm and 15mm and grab whichever fits under the back end of the bridge and stops it at the right angle. Then I crank the claw in several turns so the bridge is basically locked. Now I do all the adjustments and get intonation set. Once I have it in tune and all ready, I lock the nut. Then recheck to find a string that is still at correct pitch(locking the nut tends to pull things out a little), remove the wood block and back the claw out(evenly) until that string is back at pitch(or very close). Re-tune with the fine tuners and you should be good to go.

Re: Family pics diffrent RG's/Ibanezes

hey albee...just a tip for you to adjust intonation w/o cranking the claw. the srcews on a claw suck due to the fact that the heads strip rather easily. just drop a few more springs on the block and go from there. usually most ibanez players use 2-3 springs anyway, just remember which springs went where and how(orientation) and pop a couple extra on to increase tension. then its actually easier to adjust each string by itself by tuning each to pitch individually instead of the whole guitar, then adjusting. saves time as long as you get the trem to float properly(getting the knife edges parallel).

That purple bass is one of the finest-looking guitars I've ever seen! Sounds like you've gotten some great Craigslist deals.
