*My Ibanez RG2027Xvv piezo 7-string
whoo boy..awesome..especially with a killer setup
& new D'addario XL10's
I run the piezo out into a seperate stereo amp
with delay/etc {Johnson Millenium JM150}

*Jackson SL1 neck-thru Soloist Eerie Dess finish.
Love that radius neck. The JB humbucker gets nice chunk
and does the brown sound/Eddie routine VERY well

*Original '54 Fender Stratocaster, Sunburst w/maple neck
tone for days, months even. and that V-profile neck feels
GREAT in my hands. Still in good shape and plays fantastic.

*Gibson Les Paul Classic 3 Pickup special (Honeyburst)
Recently grabbed one before the price went up. Just in time!
Pleasantly suprised by this guitar. It's just incredible. Notes,
chords, harmonics just jump out at you from all over the neck.
I love the FAT, wide sound. The pickups respond well to all
sorts of dynamic playing. They crank! Perfect in combination
with my all-tube Hughes & Kettner Triamp MKII half stack.

Luckily I still own all 4 of these my fave guitars!

l8r,
-Vince

Hate to burst your bubble Vince, but all original 54 Strats have D shaped necks. I've never owned one myself (too expensive), but I've played 4 different 54's, and a few 55's and all of them had nice D's or C's without any trace of a V. I had a 57 for a while, and she had a great V neck. It's one of those things that Strat collectors all know: the V's were soft in 56, hard in 57 and gone by 58. So, you may need to have that axe looked at. It's either not the original neck, the original neck that someone totally screwed with to make it feel like a 56-57, or not a 54 at all.

Update to my post from nearly a year ago:

I got another Klein guitar about 8 months ago, a GK4T and it confirms that the Klein is unparalleled.

Add to the the Yamaha Frank Gambale signature guitar from Yamaha and you now have the best guitars I've played, hands down.

as it appears it is ok to post more than one:

first two are easy...

my Jem90HAM
my Jem777DSY

UV PWH and RG770 i checked out before buying the DSY (both very nice)
JS6, Jem77GMC, UVMC, UVB, JemBSB (all three on par with DSY and UVPWH)
PGM90, JPM90 and RGJC-metal,-ART & -paint, i cheched out before buying the Jem90HAM (none of those actually come close to the Jem90)

"nice but non ibanez" (and certainly not close to "90HAM nice"):
Fender SRV
EB EVH
EB Petrucci (just the 6, would like to check out the 7 too...)
early 90s Rickenbacker walnut neck-tru

Ibanez UV7BK
Ibanez RBM2NT (with Duncans, I loved the sound, but I didn't care for how it balanced).
early 70's Gibson Les Paul Custom (with DiMeola's pickups and a new bridge)

not for those who got tired with floating trems and for those who want better sustain and tone
for me (and i mean for ME), JEM90 does not even come close to PGM90

I'd have to say:

Conklin GT-7 for a 7-string

and

Ibanez JPM100 for a 6-string. (especially since now my trem is working great)

Still have to get that conklin though.
