FIxed bridge PRESTIGE!!

Hello fellow enthusiasts...

it finally happened- a fixed bridge PRESTIGE!! GAS? you bet...

RG2081
Basswood body
3pcs. Maple/Bubinga neck
Rosewood w/Binding fingerboard
GTC101 (fixed) bridge
DiMarzio Air Norton (H) neck pu
DiMarzio Blue Velvet (S) middle pu
DiMarzio Tone Zone (H) bridge pu
Black hardware

i was wondering why the basswood body? also- no body cap. however, since i dislike the tone zone in the 3120, maybe this one would be ear candy... should we get excited over a Japan-only release?

good to see, but it's scary that the RG421 looks better. the 2-1-2 PUs are a step in the right direction, as is the prestige quality, but the color and basswood body is undesirable... glen

LOL

"OK Boys - paint the word 'Prestige' on the Headstock...maybe nobody will notice that it's last year's 3120 with the lo-pro swapped out for a middle pickup and an ugly paint job."

Any word on the over-inflated price tag?

is this an attempt to make the Prestige range within reach to all? if it is then it's an injustice to the Prestige title... we can imply that the price of this one is for the neck & pickups...
