Fujigen made?
Is this body really Fujigen? 390109518627 I thought all the Fujigen bodies had a access plate for the jack wiring but I'm still learning this Ibanez stuff so not sure.

Re: Fujigen made?
Older Ibanez 400 series were made in Japan (Fujigen), but it is hard to say just by looking at the body.

Re: Fujigen made?
as odd it may seem, there were some Japanese-made models with Korean featurings (Lo-TRS, INF pkps etc), one being the
RG250B
. but i've never seen a rear-loaded body without jack cavity. that's weird...

Re: Fujigen made?
My S540LTD doesnt have a cavity to access the jack. I don't really see the need for one in most cases. It's easier to do the wiring out side the guitar then push the jack in. Maybe to tighten the nut that holds the jack in place, but I can't see that being much of an issue with the Ibanez long shaft jacks. It's been a long time sine I messed with a rear loaded guitar without a jack plate.

Re: Fujigen made?
Thanks all for the info. I've assembled a few RG's from parts and I'm still learning the differences between Fujigen and Korean made guitars. So far I have learned the AANJ bolt patterns are different, the truss rod covers are different, and the cavity covers are different. I thought the jack access cavity was a good verification of a MIJ body but it seems like that may not be true. The MIJ parts always fit together very well and the quality of workmanship is obvious so I stay away from all the others. I have to say I would be skeptical about a MIJ neck connecting to that body without filling and re drilling the screw holes and I hate doing that.

Re: Fujigen made?
The RG470s, regardless of Japanese or Korean build had a mounting plate for the output-jack making the access cover unnecessary. The 5xx ones have the cover since you need access to the the barrel jack to tighten the nut that holds it in.

Re: Fujigen made?
That's how my Japanese 470 body looked. LoTrs route (but they came with Takeuchi (sp?)-made trems) and a football jack plate with a regular output jack, not the panel jacks.
