Full custom Ibanez

Hi!
I'm getting sick of searching for the guitar I'm dreaming of.(well one of them).
For I know exactly what I want: basically an Ibanez RT in vintage sunburst with a maple neck.

As it does not exist or it would be too long - need to much luck to built one from scratch, and finally as I have NO skills nor any room and time to learn how to built one by myself

, I was wondering if there's any custom shops that could provide pieces such as Ibanez accurate body and neck, (as warmoth does'nt seem to know about Ibanez stuff) or completely built it...

If anyone has any experience with shops like EKG, please share

I was lookin' around on the net yesterday for some custom Ibanez's and found this site... http://www.cottamguitars.co.uk

Not tried them myself so don't know how they are. Their work looks good though, Some real nice guitars on there.

well well, after hours of googling, I've finally sent emails to christopher woods cotton, ET gtrs and Ran...

You want an AT100. Magnus Olsson (Ibanez Mag) has one available, check the classifieds

But I don't want a AT100. And it's just a bit too expensive. I think I could get exactly what I want for the same price or less from custom builders. I want a 24 frets wizard unfinished maple neck, a edgy RG body and all the vintage specs from a Strat 57 (including nitro finish if available).
Don't ask me why, but that's what I want

I won't mind an AANJ and angled headstock nor a 3 ply mint pickguard though.

Wouldn't the easiest solution be to get an RT450 sunburst and buy a regular heel, 24-fret maple neck (with the 2-fret overhang)? That would get you everything but the nitro finish part of your main specs. Total cost: about $250 for the RT, ~$150-$200 for a good neck, less the return from selling off the original neck.

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot the new HSS pickguard -- about $25-30 from someplace like Terrapin Pickguards.

Obviousely I tried several times to buy an RT, but that's not that easy. I missed too many. And I must admit I'm tired with evilbay

and as I know exactly what I want, and there are some great custom builders around... I'm just wondering how much it would cost.

I've also mailed some french luthiers.
There's a good one here (in France) who build nice guitars for about 1000€... I also contact Ran, but I'm afraid my project is not "metal" enough

i do have 2 rt's...an rt650 and rt150. the 150 is in the refin mode, but the 650 is an insane axe. the rt you mocked up is gorgeous. i love old strats, that's like a 50s relic. all the builders you are looking at will end up giving you some really great turnaround times initially, but almost all will end up disappointing you with following up on their own dealines. i have dealt with ekg and chris woods. not to say that they dont' have a quality product, they do, but don't hold your breath is you are working within a timeline.
