German posters...

I was in Germany and at Hamburg Airport I was flicking through a few guitar magazines and one of them was reviewing some beautiful natural-finished flametop, two humbucker, 4+2 headstock, fixed bridge guitar, by some strange named brand. I found memorizing the name of the brand didn't help me remember it. Do any of you Germans know what brand I might be thinking of, or at least the names of a couple of guitar/gear magazines?

4 + 2 headstocks? not familiar with any Germany-exclusive brands, but could it have been Caparison or ErnieBall/MusicMan?

No, it wasn't a 'mainstream' brand. Really obscure, high-end, boutique kinda guitars. The name was comprised of two words, one of them began with a U or S....

Brian Moore? I know they do PRS-style quilts and have 4+2's. They're very nice.

Re: German posters...

It was definitely not a brand you could find readily in the UK or US. I know my obscure brands and I didn't know this one...

God it was so gorgeous though!

Re: German posters...

You definitely must be talking about Nik Huber guitars.

http://www.nikhuber-guitars.com/

Check it out, boutique quality guitars, not far away from PRS stylewise.

The 4/2 headstock design is famous for Nik Huber guitars, but not featured on the website because of copyright issues with MusicMan.

Re: German posters...

Wait a minute. Maybe Neglectedfield took a magazine called "Grand Guitars" and saw the cover showing a Siggi Braun guitar called "Angel Wing".

Re: German posters...

I like the figuring on the back of the neck (rosewood perhaps?) but not the square volute

otherwise it looks like beautiful craftsmanship.
