Good price for a RG 550?

Is US$430 a good price for a new RG 550? Any comments would be appreciated.

the 570 and 550 are pretty close. i personally like the 550 better though. it's really a matter of personal taste.

the differences are that the rg 570 have no pickguard and it have palisander neck (the brown neck, excuse me for my english)
the rg have a maple neck with bubinga strip and a pickguard . thats all.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I just bought a RG 570, actually, for the $369 that someone above quoted. It is a great guitar! I was suprised to find that the control cavity had a coat of shielded paint!

I've decided to pick up a maple fingerboard version, and I can get a RG 550 for $430, so I think I'll make the plunge.

Thanks for all the replies!

Went ahead

and bought the RG 550.

I'm also thinking about buying another 570. ******** has the 570's for $369. I couldn't believe the quality of my 570. It was perfect!

I am in the same boat, new 570 vs used 550. I can get the 550 for $275 with a bag, and it looks in new shape. I like the maple board a little better than the rosewood. What do you guys think? $275 a good price?
