Dimarzio Area 58, is the best single coil I've ever played. I've had v2n, lil 59, Ibanez S1, C3, Lace sensors hot gold, and custom shops. I'm just so happy with it because I had a lame pickup in the
neck position and it just bummed me out. Single coils typically bum me out. I've never played one that blew me away. I always go from one to the other, jsut like, dude, that sucked. This one just blows me away. Adjusting the tone goes from glass to a thick almost humbucker tone.
The Alnico Pro II SD, is ok. It sounded better in my
Jackson SOloist, it's ok. It's weird, the output is almost the same for both pickups. it sounds and plays great now. Of course some is mental, since it's the same guitar with new paint, but I adjusted the truss rod, it's now rockin man.
