Got my RG770dx today red

I feel like the guy in the old Toyota commercials who is jumping up and down! Great guitar, 24 frets on a bound maple fretboard with nice red inlays. Has F4, C3 and F2 pickups, all red and looking like new. These pickups have that warm "bite" that I just can't get with my s series. They bolt into the pickguard, not a direct body mount. Matching headstock looks good, why the F am I typing all this? You all know the specs!!! Here are the pics:

and a bonus pic:

Re: Got my RG770dx today red

I have no Christmas list this year so I might just make the RG770dx it!! hah

on that note, how much are these usually compared to a 550? like 100-200 more or what? That would be like 700 bucks?

So, does Ibanez just put the clear pickguard onto the guitar, though it's not necassary? Just curious, cause it looks amazing, I wanna get a Reg none exteremely expensive RG and put a PG on it! Love the guitars, nice pics.

In this case the pickguard *is* necessary as the PUPs are mounted onto it.

that is one seriously cool RG and in great shape by the looks of it. Thanks for the pics.

Re: Got my RG770dx today red

Mine has direct mounted pickups, like a JEM77xMC

So yeah they can be just for show/feel. I started on an RG550 so I like the feel of the pickguard to ever so slightly alter the angle of fingers against strings.
