Got the S470!

Well, I just picked up the S470. The body is kind of scratched up, but the neck is in terrific shape. It's a plain jane black one, but I think some creme zebra pups would look pretty cool and give it a good contrast. The rosewood is really dark; looks like ebony! The thing that surprised me was how well it stayed in tune after some dive bombs - party, bonus!

I'll post some pics when I get a second. Thanks for all the help!

Swap the LO-TRS II trem over to a Gotoh licenced Floyd Rose, you will love it!

Congrats on the guitar.

Congrats on the guitar.
Is the Gotoh about the same profile as an OFR?

Nice, looks neat seeing as it doesn't follow the old all black hardware scheme.

Re: Got the S470!

Thanks. I cleaned her up a bit, changed the strings, and adjusted the relief. I think it had 10s, but I put 9s on. When I took the trem cover off, I noticed 4 springs. Is this normal? I'm wondering if this has something to do with it returning to pitch so well.

Still have to polish the hardware, it's really tarnished. Other than that, no problems.

Black S470 is one of my faves. It actually started my whole collection, guitar playing thing.

So i assume in a couple years you will have many many more.

I believe 3 springs is the norm.

As much as I would love it, I think guitar collecting would be a bit to expensive for me at this point. I'll settle for a few really good ones.

Re: Got the S470!

that's some nice dark rosewood.

and for the springs, three should work for 9's and 10's
