Re: Group shots

Awesome!

Like how you string with the ball end through the tuner.
What's your stringing method?
Do you pre cut the strings to a determined length?

What purple J-Custom? I don't see a purple J-Custom. There is a purple S series but it isn't a J-Custom.

Re: Group shots

My laptop screen shows colors a little different than my CRT, I see now it's a dark blue one, I thought it was dark purple. Would like it to be dark purple though .

Cheers, yeah i've been doing it for a couple of years now. I find its just easier to string and stays in tune better/quicker with new strings.I just feed the string through and pull it tight up to trem and cut off excess string just after/level with the back of the block in the saddle.
This gives you just enough string to lock in saddle and usually when tuned is less than a full wind on the tuner.Kind of like having locking tuners, less winds = better tuning stability and i personally think it sounds a little better tone wise, try it for yourself and see what you think.

I do the same thing, And I've found the result to be the same. I think Vai does it too?

Not sure which one you are referring to,though all guitars shown on this page are genuine Ibanez except for my Caparison Dellinger (natural mahogany with devils tail headstock)

No chibanez's here!! Shame on you,go and wash your mouth out with soap!! lol
