Help identifying an RG

Greetings,
I'm trying to help someone (a seller actually) identify an Ibanez RG but I can't seem to match it up with anything I see in the catalogs (courtesy of Ibanez Rules). Here are the specs:
Korean made (serial S4084443)
red burgundy color with flame maple top (tiger-striped variety)
binding on body
gold hardware
looks like a TRS trem
INF pickups (HSH; pickup ring mounted)
24-fret neck with rosewood board and dot inlays
AANJ neck joint

So the serial number and TRS trem suggest some lower end RG, but I don't see any models that had the flame top, binding on the body, and gold hardware. I must be overlooking something or else some parts have been switched out. Anybody got a clue?
Cheers,
Bert

I believe there are/were RG3XX with Flamed "something".

Model names were RG3xx FATL, FM, etc

Closest the 1994 catalog gets would be an RG470FM, possibly the Trans Purple color.. Only things that don't match are the fretboard is maple instead of the rosewood of yours, and it has cosmo instead of gold...

Maybe a Euro variant, or odd ball upgrade?

There are plenty of Summer Namm releases over the years, also spot production runs [generally both just models picked off the world catalog that were available elsewhere, but some ordered specifically built by the US], the catalogs never tell the whole story, even if you had every one of them

Yeah, Ibanez's catalogs have never been perfect.

Still, I'd like to have all of 'em, just to drool at the late 80's ones..

Thanks for the replies. I agree that it must be an oddball: nothing in the catalogs fits. I may try and post a pic later just to see if we can crack the puzzle. In the meantime, it's probably safe to say it's a 300 or lower series (but the binding and flame top are definitely a nice touch).
