Help - Info on my "S" series custom ?

Can one of you sharpies tell me anything about this "S" series custom?

A friend had a computer emergency and I did some computer work for him in exchange for one of his many guitars ( he said it a mid 1990's model probably). I may give it to my son , although he really needs a nylon string classical. I'm a keyboard player/producer and and don't know too much about electrics so any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

That is an extremely nice S very clean, looks almost new. Pickup have been upgraded which is great. It's probably a '93 from my guess. That kind of guitar i would not pass up, if your son ever gets into electric guitar I'd look no further than getting an S like that, they are top tier guitars. I suggest you hang on to that one.

very nice, superb condition from the looks of it. i'm not an "s" man myself, so i can't tell you much about it, apart from that the pickups have been upgraded to seymour duncans, it has a lo pro edge and that it's a damn nice guitar!

apart from the pickups, it's a perfectly normal S540LTD which is awesome. early nineties would be a safe bet. killer guitar!

Sounds like a great guitar for him if he starts playing electric. Right now he's a Phil Keaggy fanatic and is starting to listen to his electric playing.

He better practice hard for the rest of the year if he wants it,
