I saw that too.....It's actually a pretty cool looking guitar. All it is is a SA160 with binding and HH instead of HSS.

But I'd buy it, if I were looking for that type of guitar (which I'm not).

I joined this forum just to ask about this guitar .
So is it really just a SA160? does that model have a quilted top like this? What type of neck is this considered, I like the neck btw .

They are asking 429. how much does the SA160 sell for usually?

Looking here at the models

http://www.*******.com/cat--Ibanez-E...--3144/page--3

isnt it more of a cross between a
Ibanez SCA220 S and the
Ibanez SA160QM Electric Guitar (Quilted Top, Transparent Gray) .

Does it have a set neck? It sounds a lot like the limited-edition SA360 that was available in Europe last year.

http://www.jemsite.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=16113

And it's not abalone binding... binding goes around the edge of the guitar and was historically used to bind the top to the sides. Decoration just on the face is called purfling.

No not a setneck , if it was there would be no question about me getting this one Also it has a bridge that to me at first glance looked like a Wilkinson but says Ibanez on it , what do you know if anything about that ?
Sorry not up on all things Ibanez , I own and use alot a 80s Roadstar II and own and dont use a RG 450 DX .

I saw that one at the GC here, and while I usually steer away from low/mid stuff, I picked it up a couple times before putting it back for the final time...temptation resisted. I always thought the SA160 with the quilt vintage burst was pretty cool for the money.
