Help me Identify this RG

Here's one I'm not familiar with. It's an RG body, AANJ, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, bound up to the headstock, cozmo hardware, but a FIXED bridge. The headstock says it's a Japanese manufactured model. Finished in a standard metallic blue paint. Has the chromed logo on the headstock with the swoosh and says "RG Series". It's the fixed bridge that's throwing me. like a dummy, I didn't get the serial number. I was thinking 300 or 400 series, but the MIJ and cozmo hardware threw me.

Anybody?

Sounds like an RG-421RB?

What model year(s)? Is it in the catalog?

I think production began in 2001 or something like that. It's a model that was just disco'd last year. I'm not sure that it actually appeared in any catalogs though. Great guitars though! They were being blown out by a couple of online shops for $279.00 a few months ago.

That sounds like a textbook example of an RG421.

Metallic blue, binding, chromed logo... does it have the V7 and V8 pickups?

Sounds like an RG421 RB.

Did it look kinda like this? (but with different PUPS v7 and v8 most probably, I swapped mine out for Evo's)
