Help needed with an RG 340
Does a 340 have the exact same shape as the rest of the RG's? Does the 340 have the sharp lower horn? Somebody I know wants to sell theres to me for a good deal but I'm not sure what they look like.....and I can't find any pictures on it. Anybody know anything about them? Type of neck, trem,
body shape
, etc....
Thanks!!

Re: Help needed with an RG 340
Also, it is a square
neck joint
guitar. I think the body is different. But could I use the neck on it on like a square neck joint 570? I just don't know much about them. I know most square neck joint necks will work in any other square neck joint, but I just didn't know if the 340 neck would work in 470's, 550's, 570's, etc....
Anybody know?

Re: Help needed with an RG 340
The neck is 22 frets......any problem with putting a 22
fret neck
on a RG 470 body that was originally made for 24?
Thanks!

Re: Help needed with an RG 340
Try
www.ibanezregister.com-
they have pictures of almost every model.
The 340 on there has very rounded horns, but the pic is of a refinish project, so you never know if they took off some wood there.
The 22/24 fret thing is best explained by this: it's not the number of frets, but the scale length and therefore whether the extra 2 frets are fingerboard extension or not.

Re: Help needed with an RG 340
So the 22 fret neck wouldn't work on a RG guitar b/c of the scale, correct? Are these guitars worth anything? Are they desirable? Would it be worth swirling or putting a custom paint job on.....

It looks like they're updating the site. On the left-hand bar, just to to "old gallery," the select "The Guitars" and scroll through to the RG section. For some reason the site doesn't change URL's so I couldn't get a direct link for you.
